Welcome
Welcome to Once Was Wild Dog Training website!

Once Was Wild Dog Training is committed to helping you build a positive and rewarding relationship between you and your dog.  We understand every dog is different and therefore we use many training techniques that do not employ shock collars.  We believe every dog needs & deserves a little time learning our human language as well as the dos and don'ts of our human society.  If not, a dog will only do what he knows best: being a dog!  Let us help you effectively teach your dog how not to be wild.  You and your dog will both be happier!

Our training technique teaches dogs that obedience and other desirable behaviors, such as not jumping on people, earns him things he likes such as treats, toys, petting, and praise.  This type of training creates a dog who's primary motivation is based on earning a reward as opposed to avoiding a punishment.  Our goal is to teach you to look at your dog as an individual and use the things he likes to reward him whenever he does something you like.  This will motivate you and your dog without causing confusion or stress.  It can be a lot of fun too!

Understanding your dog and knowing how to control him, develop his potentials, and resolve behavior problems, emotional conflicts and frustrations are no less essential than love and respect.
